Lots of good food this week!

Take a look – on Thursday we are offering a Simple Supper prior to the Two Harbors City Band concert across the street. The menu includes BBQ sandwiches.

Then, on Friday, we have the latest installment of our FREE community meals, offered to the community on the third Friday of each month. We call these the Third Friday Community Supper.  And on the menu for Friday: Pulled pork on a bun, with Calico beans and coleslaw, and dessert. Perfect summertime fare!

So, leave the kitchen for a couple of evenings, and let the good folks at United Church prepare your evening meals. And do your dishes, too!

Cost for the Simple Supper is $7 per individual, but only $25 for a family!

The 3rd Friday Community Supper is FREE.

On the menu………

….for our Simple Supper tonight is:

Ham and Potato Salad!

Looking ahead a bit, we have

July 12   Italian salad, fruit , chips

July 19   BBQ chicken sandwiches

Bring your family for a fine meal before you cross the street to the band shell for a performance at 7:30 by the renowned Two Harbors City Band!  $7 per person, $25 per family

Don’t Come To Church!

Whoa! What’s going on here?

Heritage Days in Two Harbors, that’s what is going on. And as is our tradition, we at United of Church of Two Harbors are joining our friends from across the street for a joint church service in Thomas Owens Park this Sunday morning, at 9 a.m.

United Church and Emmanuel Lutheran Church have been holding this service together for some years now, and it is gaining popularity each year. Bring your portable chairs or blankets to sit on, and don’t forget your sunglasses!

Music for the service will be provided by a local band – the Two Harbors Ukulele Group.

So – don’t come to church on Sunday. Go to the park across the street instead. At 9 a.m., not 10:30.

(We have ordered perfect weather for this service. But in the unlikely event the perfect weather is back-ordered, we’ll hold the service in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, at the same time.)
