Don’t Come To Church!

Whoa! What’s going on here?

Heritage Days in Two Harbors, that’s what is going on. And as is our tradition, we at United of Church of Two Harbors are joining our friends from across the street for a joint church service in Thomas Owens Park this Sunday morning, at 9 a.m.

United Church and Emmanuel Lutheran Church have been holding this service together for some years now, and it is gaining popularity each year. Bring your portable chairs or blankets to sit on, and don’t forget your sunglasses!

Music for the service will be provided by a local band – the Two Harbors Ukulele Group.

So – don’t come to church on Sunday. Go to the park across the street instead. At 9 a.m., not 10:30.

(We have ordered perfect weather for this service. But in the unlikely event the perfect weather is back-ordered, we’ll hold the service in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, at the same time.)

Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant?

Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.”

Isaiah 50:10

Simple Supper menu revealed!

A reliable source has told us that the menu for the Simple Supper this week is: Pulled pork, coleslaw, chips and bars. Sounds pretty good, and for $7 it’s a sweet deal!

Simple Suppers are held each Thursday during the City Band concert season, and start at 5:30 p.m. Food is served until it is gone, or 7pm, whichever comes first.
